Dr Gavin Boneham (Practice Owner, Optometrist)Optometrist Sydney, Boneham

Dr Boneham B.Optom (Hons) (1987) BSc (Marine Biology) (1983) PhD (1997)

Dr Boneham always strives to provide warm and personalised care to all patients he treats. He has been working with difficult contact lens fitting, for conditions such as keratoconus, pellucid marginal degeneration and high prescriptions for over two decades. Dr Boneham is invited to present at international and national optometry conferences, he continues to learn more about his craft to better help his patients. Dr Boneham spends most Wednesday mornings as one of the lean clinicians at the advanced contact lenses at the University of New South Wales School of Optometry. He has published in peer-reviewed journals and also is a peer-reviewer for publications.

He is the President of the Orthokeratology society of Oceania and specialises in fitting orthokeratology lenses.  Lenses that are worn overnight and enable patients to see clearly during the day without need for glasses or contact lenses.

Outside of work Gavin is passionate about all things sports, he coaches his daughters basketball team and still waits in hope for some victory for the long suffering Wallabies. He is a former first grade player for Randwick Rugby Club

Sarah Boneham (Optometrist)

Sarah Boneham B. Optom (Hons) B Sc (Vis. Sci) (Hons) graduated from UNSW in 2014. She started working at a large optical chain which gave her experience in general optometry and a wide range of patients.

Sarah joined the team late 2016 and has been a great addition, she works at the practice on Thursday. Patients always comment on her positive attitude and her attention to detail, she works hard to provide the best possible outcome for her patients and does everything with a smile. Sarah is a clinical supervisor for fourth year optometry students at the University of New South Wales and just recently  at the 2018 Orthokeratology society of Oceania conference.

In her spare time Sarah enjoys many sports such as basketball, oztag and futsal.
