Our practice was established in the State Theatre Building in 1932. Penhryn Thomas (a pioneer of contact lenses in Australia) ran the practice until it was taken over by Charles McMonnies in 1968. Gavin Boneham joined the practice in 1997.
In February 2010 we moved locations to the Dymocks building due to renovations to the State theatre building
Our goal has always been to provide personal service in a friendly professional manner.
We aim to give our patients the best possible Optometrical services through our dedication to professional education. (the practice has been, and continues to be, involved with the education of undergraduate and postgraduate optometrists). and providing state of the art equipment combined with the latest clinical techniques.
